Packing It Up......

Richly designed luggage-inspired bathrooms.
Here is one interior design idea that i personally liked a lot: baggage inspired bathroom furniture. I like it because the furniture pieces seems to be some suitcases which are used as bathroom cabinets. As you can see in the pictures, the idea is original and breaks the standards. That's exactly what we need to revive our homes.

Like it or not, the bathroom is often one of the most neglected areas of any home. it isn't because bathrooms are particularly unloved, but rather it is due to the lack of utterly breathtaking bathroom fixtures. these luggage-inspired bathroom pieces could easily change that.

Theses stunning bathroom furniture pieces are the work of Spanish design firm Coleccion Alexandra. Their Bathroom Collection pieces turn up their(figurative) noses at conventional washroom design, opting instead for clean modern lines, luxurious leather accents and rich wood grains.

You'll find no flower carvings or soft, flowing curves in Coleccion Alexandra's bathroom furniture. These boxy pieces call to mind the steamer trunks of years gone by - or perhaps the ever-present cases that follow bands from one venue to the next.

The effect of putting these crisp, clean box shapes into a washroom is a startling one. pair them with fluffy linens and you've got one of the most visually arresting juxtapositions you are ever likely to see in a bathroom.

Ultimately, the result is a very masculine-looking room. This effect can be easily softened with a curvy claw foot tub and large round mirrors. Or, perhaps, install rectangular mirrors with dark frames to play up the manly look.

However these pieces would fit into your specific home, there is no denying that they are elegant, gorgeous bathroom elements that are poised to remind you of all of your world travels every time you see them.

Who would have thought that a bathroom could look so good and refreshing? what you say?

The Journey Starts Here...........

Hey Guys it’s my first post to this blog. I thought of posting so many things that could catch an eye but then thought of keeping it simple. So, I decided to post my first project which was a renovation project.
As this project was my first attempt in this field being a designer, you won’t find much fancy designing here but a simple home with color harmony and calm atmosphere. Hope you guys find it interesting and appreciate my work.

Here goes the story..............

The Client required this 1BHK floor (one bedroom, living room, family room, a bathroom and a small kitchen) to be redesigned and renovated. They wanted to have three bedrooms along with existing furniture, new furniture and furnishings. According to their needs and requirements, the floor was reconstructed and transformed with new internal and external color schemes, new and existing furniture and complete new flooring.

So, the project features three continuous rooms (living area, open kitchen and bedroom) plus two more additional bedrooms and bathrooms. All of the Interiors have a brown and white palette, inspiring calmness, comfort and an edgy elegant atmosphere. Transitional style is adopted to occupy traditional and contemporary furniture. A large hallway leads the way towards the kitchen and bedroom.

The living area consists a large sofa, traditional Puja area and dining area, which makes it a perfect place for having guests over and family members to perform ritual actions together.

Out of the three bedrooms, Master bedroom, the most welcoming part of the home, has new king-sized bed, wooden LCD panel, large French windows and a large niche on the wall behind the bed. A wrap around the balcony is added to take advantage of the view. Furniture lines are kept simple yet sophisticated, featuring either straight lines or rounded profiles.

Other two bedrooms are designed for their children. One is for elder son and other is for their two daughters. The look of the rooms balances masculine and feminine attributes in son's and daughter's room respectively for a comfortable contemporary design.

Keeping in mind the harmony created in whole house, these two rooms are also given brown & white theme. Though for girl's bedroom instead of complete dark brown furniture, a light brown color with addition of pink is chosen. Bed is kept dark brown, to continue the flow of harmony, while the closets are kept light brown, to create a soft, elegant and feminine look.

In son's bedroom dark brown & white theme is repeated. Contemporary white cantilever bed with brown leather high head board maintains the decor of the room. A tint of blue light is added to emphasize masculine look.

Out of the two bathrooms, pictures of only one bathroom are available. Have a look at them.

A lack of ornamentation and decoration in the whole house keeps the focus on the simplicity and sophistication of the design.

Well that's how my journey started. Hope you enjoy this post and find at least some of it interesting and/or useful.

I will be back soon with more creative designs.....

Have a nice day.
